I have 23 years expertise in the Mental Health field,
including 14 years as a Licensed Marriage and
Family Therapist. My specialties include depression, anxiety,
life transitions, and utilizing hypnosis as an adjunct to therapy.
In addition, I also specialize in working with marital and pre-marital
couples who want to make their relationship a happier one.
My work prior to licensure included a position as Peer
Counselor/Trainer with Kara, and agency specializing
in grief and loss issues. I also served as Clinical Director
for Mateo Lodge Inc. in Redwood City, treating clients
coping with severe mental illness, including Schizophrenia
and Bi-Polar Disorder. Subsequent to my licensing in 1994,
I held positions with other agencies as Clinical Director in
California, and New Jersey.
I am currently affiliated with Shields for Families in Los
Angeles, working with adults as the Primary Therapist for
two of their programs.
With my varied expertise, I currently have a private
practice in Irvine, CA. where I work with individuals,
couples, and families, and groups.
